The Divine Discovery
The swayambhu (self-manifested) idol of Goddess Mahalaxmi was discovered in December 2020 during excavation for the construction of the "Shree Gajanan Maharaj Nivasi Matimand Vidyalay" — a residential school for special children.
Following the miraculous discovery, a grand temple complex was constructed and the formal consecration (Pranpratishtha) took place on January 27, 2023. The idol is carved from black Gandaki stone and uniquely features both Goddess Mahalaxmi and Lord Narayan in a single sculpture.
12 Jyotirling Darshan
The basement houses mini-replicas of all 12 Jyotirlingas, allowing devotees to experience all sacred shrines of Lord Shiva in one place.
Multiple Deities
The premises house statues of Gajanan Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Ganesh, Dattatreya, and Sai Baba.
Daily Golden Decoration
Like the famous Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur, the idol is decorated daily with golden ornaments and traditional attire.
